Differential Pressure Flowmeter

Differential pressure flow meter is one of the most widely used flow measurement instruments in industry. It calculates flow rate by measuring the pressure difference generated when fluid passes through a throttling device. Common structures include orifice plates, nozzles, Venturi tubes and differential pressure transmitters.Based on Bernoulli's equation, when fluid flows through the throttling part in a pipeline, the flow velocity increases and static pressure decreases, forming a pressure difference. The differential pressure is proportional to the square of the flow rate, which is converted by the transmitter to obtain accurate flow.It features simple structure, high reliability and wide applicability, suitable for liquid, gas, steam and other media, resistant to high temperature and pressure, with low maintenance cost. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy and other industries for flow metering and process control. Its disadvantages include relatively large pressure loss, and accuracy is affected by fluid density and viscosity, so temperature and pressure compensation are usually required.
